Fashion, Fitness, Favorites & FRIDAY!

Happy Friday Everyone πŸ™‚ I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to not be in a good mood on Friday! I love the guy on the radio who screams It’sssssssssssss Friiiiidayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Always puts a smile on my face πŸ™‚

Yesterday I only made ONE thing… That’s so not like me. I was really tired and needed to relax so I took the easy way out. My meals were still great, just not as fresh!

Breakfast: 2 brown rice cakes w/ Better n Peanut Butter and blueberries

Snack: Protein bar

Lunch: Vegetable Lasagna (leftovers)

Dinner: OK – Confession time… I had been craving something cold ALL DAY LONG. I’m not sure if I’m getting sick or I’m extremely dehydrated (I drank 5-6 bottles of water today) but my body was telling me it wanted something cold – so for dinner I made a banana split!

A banana sliced in half topped with leftover Smore’s Ice Cream (from last night), a graham cracker, and a little more better n Peanut Butter. It hit the spot… I usually don’t just eat dessert for dinner but I made an exception tonight. It happens, right?

When the girls woke up from naptime they said they wanted to bake a cake… We didnt have enough ingredients to bake an entire cake and ice it… So i thought we could make 3 ingredient cookies.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup of Sugar

Mix all (3) ingredients together.

Let the girls plop them onto a baking sheet.

Bake them for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.

They also BEG for candy every single day so we put some hershey kisses on top of a couple of these as soon as they came out.

It doesn’t get much simpler than that!

The invitations were finished for the 4-year-olds upcoming Birthday Party! It’s a tangled theme – They turned out so cute!

After work aka watching 4 different G-rated movies with 2 sick little girls I headed to the gym for Boot camp class. This boot camp is different from the one I took last week… It’s an hour long – 5 minutes of warm-up, 3 minutes intense cardio, 3 minutes weights – repeat this 5 times (all different stations) – 5 minutes of Tabata – 10 minute abs – 5 minute cool down. I enjoy this class and the variety it offers. It was extremely packed today so the stations were a little crowded. After boot camp I decided to run 1 mile uphill on the treadmill. I ran 5.8 mph at a 3-4 incline. My legs are already starting to feel like jello! A yoga video might be in order for today…

I was supposed to attend Happy Hour with some girlfriends but we decided to reschedule for next week!

Yesterday’s warm weather had me dreaming about Spring…. I also bought new bathing suits the other day so I’m ready for it to arrive! Since I know that (spring arriving) will be a while I’ve booked a trip to Florida for the first weekend in March πŸ™‚ Thank god because this girl NEEDS a tan. I’m pretty sure I haven’t been this pale in the past 10 years – but I’ve given up tanning beds for good so I guess I better get used to it.

Me now: (after a workout)

Me when I was tan:

Me when I was clearly tanorexic:

Don’t laugh… Looking back on this I was seriously RIDICULOUS! I’m actually embarrassed I looked like this during my senior prom.

Anyways… Back to my Florida talk. I found some things i need want for the Spring season!

1. Michael Kors Bag

2. Gucci Aviators

3. BeccaΒ Coverup

4. Steve MaddenΒ Sandals

5. Julie DillonΒ Dress

I might have to get a second job πŸ˜‰

Since Spring IS right around the corner and we will all be resorting back to tiny shorts, bikinis and sleeveless tops it’s really time to hit the gym hard! Try to get in a little workout EVERYDAY if possible. I know its not easy to get to the gym every single day of the week but you could always take a walk (around the mall), take the stairs instead of the elevator or do this quick 10 minute workout in your own home.

UCML (Upper, Cardio, Middle, Lower)

– Do as many pushups as you can with good form

– Cardio for 60 straight seconds (Jump rope, mountain climbers, run in place) for 60 seconds.

– 30 reps of your favorite ab move (plank, crunches, bicycle)

– 20-30 reps of a squat & plyometric jump

Repeat 3-6 times! No excuses…You can do it!

Now for my favorite Friday section… 10 random things!

That boot camp class sounds awesome! I love how they combine cardio with weights. For bodypump, its an hour long class with songs and weight exercises. Every 3 months they come out with a new release, with new songs and exercxises. Last week they came out with 76 and it’s hard because theres so many pushups, but its growing on me! So thats what the number is! I guess they have had 76 so far πŸ™‚
