Peanut Butter Lovin.

Happy Wednesday everyone! We’re halfway through the week people!! It’s also sunny outside – So it’s a great humpday to say the least.

First off I’d like to thank you all for the comments on Mondays Bridal Shower/French Toast post! I would love to open up my own wedding/event planning company but have no idea where to even start. One day!!

Yesterday was rainy so the girls and I went to go see Hop! For those of you who don’t keep up with children’s entertainment, it’s a movie about the easter bunny. It was cute – but it was no tangled 🙂

She ate an entire medium bag of popcorn at the movie theaters. She weighs 23 pounds. HOW is this possible!? Jealous…

Recently I gave myself a budget for grocery shopping. I noticed that some weeks I was spending around $200 for myself. Whoopsies… I’ve decided to give myself $75 a week to eat EVERY meal. This includes breakfast, snack, lunch, dinner & dessert (duh) for the 7 days… I headed off to trader joe’s and was able to do just that. Crab meat, fresh fish, ground turkey and tons of veggies/fruit for 75 dollars total! I didn’t buy one thing that wasn’t on my list and I planned out every single meal ahead of time. Is that weird? Do people not do that? Someone said i was insane for doing such a thing. It keeps me on track so I’m sticking with it. I am going to keep a tab for Weekly Meals at the top –  so if you are looking to eat on a budget that’s where you can find some ideas!

While at the grocery store I found the BEST invention ever for a dessert lover like me… Guilt free ice cream. It even tastes good! Like, really REALLY good.

150 calories total in the PINT. 34 calories per serving! So basically i would be allowed to eat the entire pint in one sitting. But, I wont. Or will I? It’s halfway gone on day 2 though! Thank you arctic zero. You are my hero.

I made another chia seed pudding yesterday – Peanut Butter! Peanut Butter flavor never ever fails. Plus its amazing how this:

Turns into this:

If you’ve never made Chia Seed Pudding…Now is your time.

Peanut Butter Chia Seed Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp of Chia seeds
  • 1 tsp of Peanut Flour
  • 1 tsp of stevia baking blend
  • 12 drops of NuNaturals Vanilla
  • 3/4 cup of Unsweetened soy milk (add more for desired consistency)

Directions

  • Stir everything together.
  • Let sit for at least 20 minutes.
  • Add more soy milk if desired.
  • Leave overnight for even thicker consistency

My new go to breakfast.

Can you guess what else I made? I bet you couldn’t have guessed it included Peanut Butter right? I’m sure you’re familiar with Peanut Butter & Company’s amazing flavors, White Chocolate, Dark Chocolate and Honey to name a few. Since I’m on this whole new “budget” kick I decided to make some of my own. Cinnamon Raisin swirl!

Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Peanut Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups lightly salted peanuts
  • 1 Tbsp Agave Nectar
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped raisins

Directions

  • Add peanuts to food processor. Process until smooth
  • Add remaining ingredients
  • Process until blended
  • Dip fingers in repeatedly to make sure it’s just right 🙂
  • Store in an airtight container

Spoonful number 8.

Who knew something that tasted SO good could be made SO inexpensively? I’m spreading this on everything and taking multiple finger scoops out of the container until its gone. This should last me about 4 days…at most.

After kickboxing today and whining about my achy feet, I decided to buy some new running shoes…Ugh, $200 later. Of course I would pick the most expensive pair in the store.

I’ve never ran in Brooks… Anybody else like em? love em? think they’re worth the money? I’m sure they were a good investment.

I also got a dress for a wedding I’m attending in a couple of weeks. I ordered it online and it wont be here until 2 days before the wedding… Nothing like cutting it close!!

I love it 🙂

In clumsiness news… I somehow managed to fall on my back in boot camp again last night… Only me I tell ya, only me.

Tomorrow I plan on breaking in this…

Healthy baked doughnuts anyone!? Don’t mind if I do…

I also fell in love at the mall today. Williams – Sonoma really knows how to make me drool.

If I didn’t already spend ALL of my money at Whole Foods I would totally spend it here!

Off to bed so I can break in the new running shoes before work tomorrow!

QUESTIONS: What kind of running shoes do you wear? Have you ever had Arctic Zero ice cream? What store is your favorite at the mall!?

  1. I tried that Arctic Zero ice cream and hated it 😦
I was so excited because I love killing a pint of ice cream, but really couldn’t stand the taste. I’m glad you liked it though 🙂

p.s- send some of that homemade peanut butter my way 😉

  2. I wear Saucony running shoes. Love the dress!

  3. I love that dress! You’re gonna rock it! 🙂

  5. i LOVE that dress! WHERE did you find that ice cream? yummooooo!

  6. I just finished my pint of arctic zero touch of maple tonight. . . Yeah, I bought it yesterday. The best flavor is cookies & cream!

  8. that pb pudding looks delish….but also…THAT DRESS IS HOTTTTTT girl you’re gonna look great!

  9. I LOVE Brooks! I bought my first pair last year and will never buy anything else now.

  10. I don’t think you’re crazy, I totally write a list and try to stick to it. Otherwise, I buy everything at the store! And omg, words can’t even express how good your PB looks!

  11. I really need to try making my own fun PB. But I think I need to whip out the real food processor instead of the mini.

I just bought new running shoes on Saturday! I’ve never run in Brooks, although I have tons of their clothing, but I hear the shoes are nice! I’m an Asics girl. I just got the Gel Nimbus 12s. My only complaint is I think they weigh a tad more than my other pair, which I’m sure I’ll get used to soon enough.

I’ve been seeing lots of people talk about grocery store budget, and I NEED to get on this bandwagon. I spend so much money on food – it’s kind of ridiculous! $75/wk sounds reasonable to me.

  12. Where is that lace dress from? It’s gorgeous!

I have wanted that Artic Zero for years and they don’t have it at my store. I’ve been tempted to order online, but it’s espensive paying shipping and handling.

  13. that dress is so cute with the cut out back!

  14. I just checked the stats on that Artic Zero and it looks like I can have just under 1/2 a cup of it at a time, haha! If only they could make a no-sugar-added version! Ah, oh well, you can’t have everything. 😉

Oh, and I L-O-V-E that dress! Seriously! Can’t wait to see a shot of you wearing it! I know you’ll rock it! 🙂

  15. Haha I totally eat the entire pint. !50 calories for the entire thing is the same as 1/2C of my husbands regular ice cream!! Don’t you love being a foodie?! And that peanut butter is INCREDIBLE!! I need to make that STAT!!

  16. I can’t go into w&s because I want to buy everything!!!!! I will stay OUTSIDE and drool!

  17. I’ve been wanting to try that Artic Zero ice cream for a while now – you just gave me a reason! 🙂

I wear Mizuno Wave Rider running shoes – I love them! 🙂

  18. oh my gracious, I’ve seen that arctic zero and STILL have never found it! where did you snag it from?!

  19. I’m in awe that you stuck to the grocery list- you go girl! I’m terrible at sticking to it. …I ALWAYS get side tracked, or always think of something that we JUST have to have- ha! So much for budgeting…although I really need to try a bit harder 🙂
I am jealous of that Arctic Zero- I just went to the website to see if I can find it near me- I’m on a MISSION to find it!

  20. That dress is freaking gorgeous! Love the pb chia pudding. Looks like we’re both addicted 😉 Must make that cinnamon raisin pb since it’s my favorite flavor 😀

  21. I trained for a marathon with those Brookes! I liked them but they didn’t fit my feet as well as my Asics. But we all have different feet- as long as you’re getting them fitted to you and for your stride needs, you’re golden. 🙂

ok, so there’s just so much going on in this post I’m overwhelmed with wonderfulness! I love the picture of the little one who can eat a zillion calories- how do little kids do it?! Tangled was amazing, by the way. LOVE that movie.

    Peanut butter!! Yum!

  22. Found some Arctic Zero at my local Whole Foods. I bought 3 pints, I picked up the chocolate peanut butter, mint chocolate cookie, and the vanilla maple. Where has this been all my life? Thank you so much for pointing me at this stuff. It doesn’t taste like ice cream it’s almost like a gelato in consistency when it softens up….yummy. Aside from eating the pint guilt-free it’s got 16 grams of protein in it…score!

  23. That peanut butter looks amazing, I still never made any homemade nut butter… soon. LOVE that dress — where did ya find it? I also LOVED Tangled 🙂

  24. I think it’s totally cool that you planned out every meal beforehand; that definitely helps you keep to your budget (and diet too!) I think the people who said you’re insane are just jealous:) I’ve wanted to try arctic zero for SO LONG but never did because its so expensive! I’m defs. buying some next time i hit up whole foods though; chocolate peanut butter sounds TOO good to be true!

  25. I just bought one of those donut pans and made apple cinnamon baked donuts! REally good!
That dress is so super cute!! I love it!!

  26. i hope it fits!! Miss you!!

  27. I so need to get with it and try some chia seed pudding!! Been seeing it everywhere lately. Arctic zero would be even better if it werent so much $$…sheesh! lol.

  28. First of all I LOVE peanut butter. I want to eat it at every meal. I wear saucony’s to run in. I love them! All their styles fit me well, I can find them for under $50 and I’ve never had an issue with them. And my favorite store is Pink! By Victoria Secret. And dick’s sporting goods:) and I haven’t tried chia seeds, they are on my to eat list!

  29. Chocolate + PB is seriously the best combo in the world. I really need to try the chia seed pudding, especially with peanut butter! My new favorite store is Lululemon, but then I realize I can’t afford all the beautiful clothes!

  30. We are going to go and see Hop on Easter weekend! I don’t think anything can compare to Tangled!

Right now I have New Balance tennis shoes, but I need new ones and am going back to Mizunos!

  31. I bought the chocolate mint arctic zero- its pretty good, but I mostly bought it because it was higher in protein haha!

  32. I just ate a pint of Arctic Zero today 🙂 The cookies and cream is my favorite!

  33. I must find that dress!
I’ve never had Arctic Zero but have seen it around a ton–I definitely will be checking it out soon.
Until recently I was a devote Asics girl, I just switched to Brooks a month or so ago and so far I’m really liking them.

Favorite store… that’s impossible. I like everything involving shopping 😉

  34. I’ve heard of Artic Zero, but have never tried it. I’m dying to though. It’s a little too pricey for me to order online, but if I’m ever at a store that sells it I’ll definitely be buying.

  35. Where in the world did you find that icecream!? I need to stock up on that!
